charge it why ddi this happen is it safe? okay so i lost my charger
so i looked on youtube how to charge a gamebo with out a charger and i found out that i can cut up a old cell phone charger and put it on the gameboy battery to charge it
so i did that and i left it there for like an hour and a half and the batter got really fat
it was flat at first then after i took the wires away from it it was fatter

now is this bad?? is it dangerous to play the game with the battery like this, will it explode??
 
You've blown the battery's internal cells. There is a good likelihood it can damage the Gameboy's circuits if used. The charger you used most likely put out too much amperage for the battery. Put it on there again and it'll probably explode, creating a hazard.
 
the battery got so hot it expanded i know it sounds weird but that's what happened. its not dangerous for you game it will just run shorter battery hope this helps
