My hamster sleeps ALL the time!?

I just got a teddy bear hamster and I know that they are nocturnal, but shouldnt they be awake by 9pm? I have the habitrail OVO loft and she sleeps in the little hideout behind the wheel all the time! Yesterday, I stayed up till 1 am in the morning to see if she would come out, but she didnt. At 3 am in the morning, I checked on her and she finally came out to use the wheel. But shouldnt they be awake WAY earlier than 3am in the morning?
