my internet and DSL wont work?

my dad called about this b4. we got a whole new plug in thing to make it work, which it did....for a WHILE. but now it only works it u turn on the phone and KEEP it on!! what's wrong with my computer and how do i fix it?!
 
Perhaps you should try resetting your DSL modem to see if that fixes the problem.

If you're using a router, you may also want to try resetting it by unplugging it for about fifteen seconds or so and then plugging it back in.

If that still doesn't work, perhaps you should call your ISP and see if they're able to help you.

What you need is a microfilter. You need to read up about how to connect microfilters or you can make things worse.

Microfilters are designed to split the phone and DSL signals so that they don't interfere with each other.
