My internet is really slow all of a sudden?

Talk Talk is my ISP
I have been getting 7 MBPS for the last year(i checked on an online bandwidth tester). For the last week now it has been really slow and i checked on the same bandwidth checker and it says 500 KBPS! I know its not a virus because i have a mac and their is no-one else on my wireless network
 
You've probably violated the Fair Usage Policy guideline download limit and had your rate capped by the isp. It's usually temporary (until the next monthly bill date) and usually only capped (during that month) in the Peak hours (0800-1800). You should check the license agreement you signed up to a little more closesly I suspect.
 
internet connection also depends on the number of subscriber uses the net all at the same time which affects net speed.
 
I don't know about all the figures you were saying but i have talk talk 2. Theyre bad. Could be no. of subscribers but my internet went really slow yesterday and earlier as well
 
Depends- when is it exactly slow? is it while surfing the internet, or when running progrmas? either way, you can make it go faster. If your internet is slow, you should scan your computer for viruses and spyware using suitable programs(for example- avast anti virus or spybot).
