My "Likes and interests" on Facebook cannot be changed?

The "Likes and Interests" section of my profile on Facebook cannot be edited for some reason. The pencil thing isn't there, and when I click "edit profile" my "Like and Interests" section doesn't appear.

I don't understand. I'd like to change it, but Facebook will not allow me to.
