My messenger is linked to my yahoo account, how do I bring it over to my

BT internet account? At the moment it's letting my know when I get messages on Yahoo account but since I'll no longer be using that I would like it to do the same with my BT account so I don't have to keep going and checking if there is mail.

I'm in the UK thanks in advance.
