Large algae eaters can get quite aggressive , when they are small they are content to eat algae , but as they grow they become meat eaters. The previous poster is right.

Nothing's "wrong" with them; it's just a bad mix of fish! Algae eaters are known to be aggressive, and they're not recommended in a tank of passive fish like orandas or goldfish.
If you want to have goldfish, try a plecostomus or snail next time instead of the classic algae eaters.
