my pc can't read DVD-R?

my pc knows there is a dvd, but when i open it, it doesn't show me the files and it asks me to put the files i want to burn but it is already full

my sisters computer (which is exactly the same as i have) reads it perfectly

do i have something installed or activated that is causing trouble? help please
 
Invest in a CD/DVD Laser Lens cleaner, this fixes most problems with optical drives.
 
bro maybe you dvd player's laser is worn out. You know all dvd players have a life time
