My puppy won't stop crying in the crate?

Im trying to crate train my chihuahua puppy, but he won't stop crying. He cried for 3 1/2 hours before I gave in. It's 3:00 and he WILL NOT SLEEP!!! Somebody please help me?!??

You don't give in. All of my dogs that I've had crate trained have done the same thing. Giving in shows him that if he cries and complains then he'll get his way and get let out. When you put him in the crate, and he whines, don't acknowledge him or anything, just do what you were going to do when you put him in.

persevere with it make it a nice place to be it will be better in the long run
we have 2 dogs 1 5years old and 1 14 weeks old, the 5 year old goes in the crate with the other one even when the door is open they see it as a quiet place
when we go out we leave the pup i the crate and the other to roam the house and it works well
