my samsung finesse is not showing me my videos or pics off my sd card??? Can

someone help me? i just bought the samsung finesse from metro pcs it has a sd card slot so i put my sd card in it but the phone is saying that my video slot is empty and my images slot its empty So i plugged my sd card into my computer and it says that i have all those pics and videos how do i find them on my phone???
 
you cant. if you had the card in another phone you have to go to settings on your finesse and format the card which will erase everything so i recommend compying everything to your computer frst
