My snowmobile makes a weird noise when im in deep snow?

Like when im in deep snow and i try and get out of it so i dont get stuck it makes a weird noise like something is grinding or something is pushing it down and is really heavy and it makes a noise like the gears are grinding? what is wrong with it?
