I brought it off someone, he offered it me really cheap but when i got home i found out it was locked, is there anyway i can unlock it, it's a waste of money otherwise. Thanks.
I guess you could say it's blocked by the service provider, it is unlocked to be used by any service but eventually comes up with 'inactive sim' Help?

From your description, it has been blocked, not locked. This means the original owner has reported it stolen and had it network blocked. It won't work anywhere in Europe now, unless the original owner gets it back and arranges to have it unblocked. Only the original owner can do this, as they will be asked specific questions that only they will know the answer to, such as their name, address, date of birth, passwords, etc.

You now have 3 choices:
1. Return it back to the person you bought it from for a refund (which they are unlikely to do, as they either stole it or knew it was stolen.
2. Take it to your local police station, so that they can return it to its original owner.
3. Bin it, in which case everyone loses out, except for the thief who sold it to you.
