My steering wheel locked up and car stopped?

I have a 96 Buick Lesabre and my wheel locked up and the car just died today... I let it sit for a few minutes and tried starting it it started right up and I was able to get home...(I was about 5 mins away)...I am going to have someone look at it tom. but I was wondering if anyone knew wht may have cause this?? The car is in good condition the only thing I need to do is get the radiator flushed bt besides that its good.
 
when the vehicle stalls, the power steering pump stops working causing the steering wheel to become very stiff. the brake pedal will also become very stiff and hard to press. you will have to get it checked to see why it stalled.
