my system keeps doing some hidden installation?

I have windows 7 and every 2 minutes some installer pops on my screen and disappears; I am not sure what it is trying to install as no application name appears, it just says windows installer and disappears within 2 seconds.

Due to this problem, my other other application minimize automatically like VLC player or any games and I have to resume them again. please help
 
Does it start at bootup?, if yes, then click start, in the search box, type msconfig, then click on startup, and untick all applications, this should disable any installation, if this doesn't helps, this may be because of any virus, install a good antivirus like quickheal, kaspersky, etc and perform a full system scan, if this doesn't helps, format the hard-disk and install windows again.
