my texts arent going through..verizon?

i have verizon and the iphone.

i can send text and people recieve it but i never get any and i was talking to my friend on facebook and he said he got mine but it was unable to send his text to me. so i tried to send a text to myself through my mom's phone and it didnt work.

so what could be the problem??
 
Try and reset your phone it may delete everything but, try it happened to me
