My throat discomfort?

Hey, Im a 21 year old female and for a bout a week or so ive had my Lymph Nodes around my throat, around my ear and under my left arm pitt hurt. Now my throat is extremely dry and i drink tons on water, It also feels slightly swollen, there is slight discomfort and very little burning sensation. Around my throat does seem a bit swollen, when i touch there is no pain. Most of the time my voice is normal but it does happen from time to time that my voice is scratchy.
I have my doctors appointement in a week, But this is extremely annoying!
Do you guys know what this can be?

Don't take tension. you will be fine soon. Dear i think you have an infection in your throat and you need to avoid all cold things and oily things. You should need a proper treatment so go to your doctor and trust him. You should use a cough syrup like sinconens .There was also an infection in my throat last month and i take rest and use this cough syrup and now i am fine so dear you will be fine soon . Reply me of your recovery.
