I have that 82 Dodge D50 4X4 ... The truck is VERY high mileage. While running thru the mountains, my lifters started knocking. downshifted (to continue up the hill) and there was blue smoke out of the rear. As I was turning around (to retreat my voyage), I smelled syrup (antifreeze). I pulled off the road, but did not shut the truck down immediately. I waited until the steam stopped, then I shut it down. I got towed home, and now my truck won't start back up! I checked the oil, and it's clean (I just changed it last weekend). The engine is a 'Mitsubishi' 2.6, and it seeemed to be working well - up until this point. One thing to note, the radiator was BONE DRY ... it accepted 2 gallons of fluid into the radiator. I'd like to know if I have totally killed this engine, or does anybody have any advice??? Thank you in advance!!!
