my whole electrical dashboard seems 2 b on the fritz on my 2002 Chrysler town &...

...country? it all works fine b4 the car starts but after turn ignition on few seconds later all lights go check engine ,abs ,seat belt ,oil every single light radio turns off most of the time a/c in the front doesn't work . but after i turn it off whala all starts working again . i have had a few electrical ppl look at it im getting a lot of different ideas . they thing it might need 2 b reprogrammed .but if so why would it start any 1 have any ideas what it might b ? any ideas would b great-full i just bought the van with this problem. il try anything.. peace yaal
 
The problem is in the Instrument Panel cluster. This is a common problem with the dodge, chrysler, and plymouth mini vans in that year range. 1996-2004. I personally spend 4 weeks trying to track down this problem on my parents van. I finally removed the IP cluster and used a multi meter to test every circuit on the back of the cluster. I found three burnt resistors. Found a used one at a salvage yard for 100bucks and a 30 day guarantee. and it's been working fine for 3 years. An aftermarket unit will cost around 200-225.
