my wound will not scab?

I don't understand what is going on, it's been over 4 days now since i sliced the end of my index finger, just before the nail, kind of right above the joint, and it just won't scab, it doesn't seem to be healing however, the wound looks very clean and is constantly dressed, roughly 3 times a day, cleaned twice with Hydrogen Peroxide 20%. I have to change the dressing on a regular occurence as for the dressing sticks to my wound and it is extremly painful to remove, plus it's very sensitive, even to wind! This is ridiculous, i have work in 2 days time and i work with dishes, water, dirt etc. I can't have this, can anyone, please, help me??? or explain to me what's going on.

PS: The wound is rather deep on my finger, i would say about 1cm deep, i wacked it on the bottom of a chicken cooker door, on a corner.

Regards
Brendan.

try not to touch anything with the finger or bend it. cleaning it 3 times a day removes all the built up platelets which form a scab. due to where the cut is located there is poor blood flow to begin with so healing will take longer than if it were on say your forearm. let the wound air out over night and wear a bandage during the day. if it continues to persists without scabbing i would recommend seeing a doctor as there may be a more severe problem
