Supporters of legislation (A 11484, S 5808) to update a New York abortion statute are urging lawmakers to hold final votes before the end of the session, the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reports. The legislation, first introduced in 2007 by then-Gov. Eliot Spitzer (D), is before committees in both chambers of the Legislature.
