I have been working for a well reputable movie director for a month and will work for them for 6-8months while he's shooting a movie here in New York. I work as their nanny for their 11month old son.
They have asked me to travel to Washington DC with them for 6 days (Sunday-Friday) and they have told me that I'm more that welcome to take my son with us if I'm concerned about living him behind.
Should I expect more pay during this time? I normally work 8hours a day for $650/week mon-fri. They have told me I will only work my regular 8hrs a day during this time but I figure that even though I will take my son, I'll still be away from my husband and my daily routine and I should be compensated for that.
Will I be wrong to bring this up? Is it fair of me to expect extra pay?
