Need a smartphone for internet browsing and cheapest plan?

I'm in need of a smartphone with a lot of apps, I'm thinking an android. No Verizon or AT&T so I don't want the iPhone. Any phone that is good at online browsing. I don't really text, so it doesn't need a really good keyboard or texting in the plan. And the cheapest/less minutes for talk cause I won't be calling a lot. Just internet browsing is what I need. I've never bought a smart phone, I've been using a flip phone. So post any suggestions for phone and plans for my description above. Thanks!

Try the LG Optimus One, is is a smartphone with Android. You can basically do anything on this phone, internet browsing, text messaging, 3.1 mega pixel camera, live radio, you can go on youtube, facebook, twitter, google, yahoo, check your email and its all touch! You can even go on wi fi and you can download apps to your phone with the Android market and LG app advisor. I'm with telus and i am with a pay as you go plan. So, i pay 10 bucks a month for 2,500 texts incoming and outgoing but i will be charged if i call. This phone does not need a data plan but i would recommend getting one because this phone entertains you, a lot! I dont have a data plan because i just use the wi fi in my house and you have to admit, the data plans these days are expensive! But if you go with telus on a contract, they will give you this phone for free and a data plan for 20 bucks a month. Also. new customers dont pay the activation fee.

Before you purchase, check out the great lineup of Samsung smartphones. I have the Samsung Highlight T749 Touch with T-Mobile and use the internet extensivly, and am well pleased with it. Just one plus with Samsung's are they have a large screen size, compared with other manufactures. Ease of operation is another plus with these phones. Good luck on your choice!
