Here is what happened. I was at a empty football/park playing fetch with my dog and my neighbor's dog ,just as usual, and a 14 year old came out of nowhere and kinda self invited him self in to play with us. We were playing kinda like monkey in the middle with the dogs just to get them tired once or twice they (the dogs) get the ball so I , my neighbor, or the 14 year old would get the ball. this time the 14 year-old decided to get the ball which was close to the my dog so he bend down and at the same time my dog which was overly excited jumped up ,and collided head of the dog and mouth of the kid. We rushed in to see what happened to the teen but he looked away and said he was fine so we believed him. he immediately left after the incident. Three days later the mother called saying that she had filed a police report and called animal control and had the 14 year old gone to the hospital. The mother exaggerated the story that my dog attacked the kid and tried to kill him in which it wasn't true. I was shocked and didn't know what to do fearing that animal control would come and take my dog and also going to court. After knowing about this I immediately researched and i almost had a heart attack on what the state does to you after being accused of a dog bite.
I am 19 years old so i am new to this and i don't know what to do and this is my first dog and i don't want him to be put down for a wronged reason. I don't know what to do because i cant get in touch with the mother and solve the problem personally. Also my dog has all vaccines up to date but he is not registered to the city that is the reason i am afraid.
P.S
I don't know the dog laws well but I live in dallas,tx.
