Need help fixing my 2003 Ford Taurus! Will not go over 20mph what is wrong with it?

The tubes coming off of the exhaust to the EGR Valve going to EGR Sensor is getting super hot and melting the sensor. I've gone through three so far. Problem is the car will not pick up or go any faster than about 20mph. Also it has no error codes.
What could be the problem? Blockage?
This is a 2003 Ford Taurus.
