need help immediately: interesting topics?

In order to build our public speaking skills, in my leadership class we are to write a speech and present it. We can talk about anything we'd like (cookies, computers, animal cruelty) Literally anything!. And obiviously it has to be school appropaite. I am having a hard time choosing a topic, that WONT bore anyone to death. What should i talk about? we could use powerpoint, videos, and all others things to improve our speeches. i need help! opinions? ideas on interesting topics?
 
Use power point with pictures and write about what you enjoy and know already. There will always be people who will be bored and others who will not. Just be yourself and do not stress. Stress will cause the thoughts to stop flowing. It does with me at times.
 
don't worry about boring anyone. just make it about something random or silly and that will be good enough as long as your subject matter is actually oranized and informative. I've done the invention and use of the SPORK, the creation and craze of POKEMON. and once I did a debate speech against the clubbing of BABY SEALS.

so pick something simple. your favorite tv show or movie, your favorite music or artist (musician). a new useful invention, your favorite food, religion, the origin of a holiday ... good luck!
 
educate your classmates and teachers on what a bad rap pitbulls and pitbull type dogs get...
speak out against dog fighting and speak FOR pitbulls. there aren't any different than any other dog, in fact they are very smart, very loyal, gentle with children and don't just wanna fight all the time
