Need help picking cosplay character!?

Hey, I've decided to go to the next Anime North convention in 2011...Since I've never designed a costume, I thought I'd start early. I know how to sew, so that isn't a problem...but I was wondering, what character should I cosplay as? I'll attach some links to pictures of myself if that helps. I have brown hair, hazel eyes and a medium build. I'm also kind of tall, 5'7"...I know that isn't that tall, but still.
Any help would be great!!
