need interesting and cool electronic project ideas?

i have a ton of old electronics but cant think of anything cool to build out of them. im looking to canabalize my old junk to make something cool. my supply list ranges from possibly old stereos to crt monitors and gutted computers, portable cd players cable boxes, all sorts of junk.... HEEELLLPPP!!!! need ideas and possible how to's
