Need Sci-fi/Fantasy adventure?

I'm looking for a really good sci-fi/science-fantasy adventure game or series like the final fantasy's or like the code geass anime something that gets really engrossing with a really good story and good characters that lasts quite long please! Thanks for any suggestions!

Legend of the dragoon on ps1 was an excellent fantasy rpg on par with the final fantasy series. Very long and engrossing. Excellent story line and game play. Its an older game so dont get hung up on the graphics.
