They've got quite a big garden and I've tried to make sure that the food of silence lands where the dog's most likely to find it but the owner is not. I've tried to see whether the burgers have been eaten but I don't want to be seen snooping around (for obvious reasons) so I can't be sure. Perhaps the owner knows that the dog annoys people and has trained it not to eat stuff it finds lying around. I don't want to risk feeding the meat to the dog directly as there's too high a chance of being seen.I'll leave if for a while and try again. Thanks for your support.</blockquote>
