Now this is weird. I live in what is (clearly) a flat with poor noise insulation. And I do my best not to be a bad neighbour, i.e. I never wear shoes indoors, don't play loud music, haven't had any parties, or even had friends round. But I know that my downstairs neighbour must be able to hear what is going on in my flat (I can hear everything he does as well). Here's the thing: he has now complained about my noise twice. Both times when I was having sex. I don't think that I am exceptionally loud, but he has rung my mobile both times mid-way through to complain. The first time (which may have been a little rowdy) he texted me as well to say that my behaviour was unacceptable. Both occasions it was late at night (i.e. 2am / 3am) - I'm single, and I had hooked up in town and come home.
I don't know what to do. Is it OK to have sex in your home late at night? Or should I be more considerate and not do it? I'm really worried about this - I have signed up to a six month let, so can't just move out.
