Netgear won't work on my nintendo ds?

i have netgear WGR614v9 every time i try to scan an access point it says " the access point's security settings are not supported by the nintendo ds" and i don't see my net gear in the list?? is there a way around this?

Depends on your security settings. The DS doesn't support connections with a WPA encrypted password. It can, however, use a connection with a WEP encrypted password. Ask whoever takes care of your wireless connection for what you should do but on some routers you can set up a separate connection that uses WEP encryption to connect your DS with.
