Not software but your Operating System can do that for you... If are using Windows 2000 server, just create a Domain, add the users to the Domain, share each users CD-Rom, that should work fine. If your using a different operating system just look up how to network/share cd-roms in the help files.Pak Pcwww.pakpc.biz

Your server will do this by default, right click what it is you want to share and select share on network and then you'll need to select users who are able to access the shared files. This is even possible on a network without a server. Sharing a CD rom is done the same way, right click the CD rom and click share on the network. Make sure all the client machines can ping the server, shared stuff will be in 'my network places' or you could type the following from run //Server IP, e.g start>run>//192.168.0.2.

The devices you are going to share (CD, folders, printer, etc) will be connected to the server. The client machine will access them. These devices are shared as network accessible devices and certain permissions are set on them to control who can access them (which machines or which users).

Hello again! You haven't been on Answers in a long while! This is very easy. I'm going to assume you have basic knowledge of networks, and also that you are using windows. Basically, you put whatever you want in the sharing folder on your network. There is no program or anything to do this. You just pop it in, and click share, and anyone can access it from another computer using the same network as you.
