I had one guinea pig, Dylan. He is 1 years old (about) Male and HAS lived with other guinea pigs, he was the dominate one (well competed for top spot with brother) but his brother died, i got him a new friend today (2x5 C&C cage.) hes been chattering his teeth at him and squeeking (like he does usuallly) almost 24/7 they are in the C&C cage together but i split it in half so they cant get to eachother, i will do this until they get used to eachothers presence, because Dylan is chattering his teeth and biting the divider thingy trying to get to the new one does this mean they wont get along or is this regular for introducing them? The new guinea pig has not chattered its teeth at him or challenged him in any way, only went up close to smell him, and Dylan tried to bite him. Hes TINY compared to Dylan. They are both males. Is there something wrong? is this normal? is there a possibility that they will get used to eachother? HELP Jose: No they dont, its easiest to pair up dominant with relaxing. and not all guinea pigs you try to pair will be like this, they all have different personalities. therefore, many different possibilities for compatibility. im asking about behavior anyway. but thanks for trying(:
