I just got hired at Abercrombie and I just had my first shift june 6th. I am a graduating senior in high school. I have school, graduation and family trip coming up, plus for living reason (I now have to commute) I really cannot start working till June 23rd. I asked for not scheduling me till then.

I really want to keep this job and I have been really worried that I'll get kicked out. I told my manager about it, he didn't say much except for "okay". The other manager just shrugged it off and said "I don't really care".

What should I do? ;( Am I going to get fired? I am so worried..

Right now you should stick with your plan to take vacation. Tell both of your managers that you appreciate them allowing you to take the time off, and if you get let go, write them a letter saying that you appreciate the opportunity that they gave you to work for them, that you're sorry about the poor timing, and that if possible, you'd like to give it another shot in the future. Doing this will leave a good impression, and if you don't get hired back, you'll have a good reference for your next job. And you'll get another one, so don't worry too much about that. Good luck!
