New trend dark/goth makeup.. what do you think?

so as everyone may have noticed the dark makeup is back in style. everyone is doing it, black lipstick, black lipgloss, dark plum colours. Yves st laurent, MAC, etc.
We're also getting new brands that specialize in such dark dramatic makeup. for example Illamasqua which just opened in sephora's all around etc.
What do you think of this style and will you ever brave enough to try something new and wear it out perhaps?

i like dark makeup because it's bold and edgy. i love dark eye makeup but i'm a little iffy about super dark lipsticks and lipglosses. i wouldn't pile dark eye makeup with a dark lipcolor. i think that's a bit overboard.

i'm loving mac's new style black collection though. the eyeshadows for that line are soo pretty.
 
I think it's great that all the dark is coming back, I love it. I've always worn dark or bold colors and never have been scared or embarrassed to wear it out. I think its awesome.
