and erode away their virtues, which is one of the reasons the local newspaper's Sunday 'Styles' section is often such a font of miserable conceits exposing miserable people behaving badly well before and beyond their years. Okay, so that story about the pathetic old men hitting on pathetically young women in the Hamptons; why did we never weigh in? How could we ignore the asshole who wouldn't let his girlfriend of a year in on his share house because, at 42 fucking years old he was not ready to deprive himself of his warm weather right to get sloshed and fuck girls at his beach house? Good question. We let it pass? We let it depress us? We don't like casting stones? (Okay, not it.) We admit. Neglecting this gem was a fuckup. Please forgive us. [New York Times]
