Newborn kitten..brown blood?

I have a 5 day old kitten. The mom left it on day one and I have been doing everything i know to do from the internet...feeding every 2 hours,helpiing it use the restroom..keeping it warm..etc...last night in the middle of the night it was in a brownish blood and when i was trying to get it to use the restroom some more came out of its bowel movements. Does anyone know what it is before calling a vet or going to a vet??? Thanks!
 
it could b something internally wrong with the kitten..thats probably why the mother abandoned the poor thing..
take the kitten to the vet and have it checked out...they will b able to give an opinion on the survival chances and if there is something wrong with the kitten that cant b corrected then you could go ahead and end the suffering..

are you sure it wasn't diarrhea?
some times if you change their food this will happen.

Other than that you will need to take it to the vet ... it's too hard to tell here on the web.
