I just had my little girl on Monday and when I came home the stress of my house caused me to pick up a cigarette... I was researching how long it takes for nicotine to come out of the breast milk and it said 3 hours. My question is: is it still 3 hours if I pump instead of having her latch on and get it directly from me? Or does it stay in my milk beause my body isn't processing it? I am trying to quit but the stress of having another baby and roommates is getting to me hard. I don't want my little girl to get any nicotine from my breast milk. I started her out on formula at the hospital but she isn't doing good on it. She poops at least 5 times a day and later at night she gets gas and is fussy for a little while. Any answers?
