Nintendo 3DS and DS recommendations please!?

I am soon going to buy a 3ds, and would like to know the better games for it.

I'm not a huge gamer, but I really enjoy these types of games:
The Super Mario games
Kirby
Rayman
Harvest Moon

I was thinking of buying the Pet Zombies, and Jaws game, but I don't know, if anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.

I was also thinking of getting the Resident Evil: Revelations for the 3ds, but I have never played those games before, does anyone know if it is good on the 3ds?

Also, the games don't have to be just for 3ds, they can be for ds too. Please help and recommend away!

My little newphew has one the ds and 3D and they basically the same , You only have the option of 3D or not. You can play it normal he barely plays it with the 3D cause it makes the graphics weird looking. I would suggest a large ds instead of the 3D . He never really uses the 3D at all.
