Nokia 5310 keeps saying Operation Failed when formatting memory card!?

Hey I'm having a small problem with my nokia 5310, everytime i put in the memory card, it says that the memory card need to be formatted, and when it tries to format after like 3 seconds, it says Operation failed. It has been really pissing me off lately. It happens with any memory card i put it. I need to fix this somehow, please give me good answers. i dont want those annoying ones that say like "get a new phone" or something like that. Please help!. My warranty with t-mobile on this phone has ended. so they really cant do anything. and if you can please give me a name of a place where some shop can fix my phone for a low price. Like somewhere by sacramento, ca or roseville around those areas. Thank You
yes, i already tried that. my computer asks me to do the same thing after i take it out of my phone. but my computer actually formats it and then i put it back in the phone and the process starts over =(
i already reformatted using adapter on comp and no luck with that either. and i also tried restoring the phone using my password. still no luck =(
 
Just try to use a mini sd adopter to formatt ur card. Its safe & should work. But if ur phone is rejecting the card, just try to 'restore the factory setting' by using ur password. Give it a try.
 
Remove the microSD card and try to read/format it on a PC, using a built-in or USB card reader. You will need the standard SD adapter for the microSD (normally included when you buy the phone). A friendly computer shop might help.
