My 4 month old Nokia 5800 express music phone has had problems from day one. First of all, some of the inbuilt apps like Sky and Facebook didnt work. I can live without these, but it wasnt a great first impression. My internet browser keeps crashing and closing itself down. My camera doesnt work anymore and following advice from Nokia, when backing up my files and then re-formatting, my 950+ music files have been corrupted and no longer play. I have an N95 to use when my 5800 plays up, so I'm only really bothered about getting the music aspect of the problem sorted.
I have a 1gb web limit per month, and I had downloaded about 4gb of music already. Now these files are unplayable due to info from Nokia being wrong, I have technically lost 4 months of my unlimited download time, which is 12 months in total. If I re download all these tracks again from the music vault, it will take another 4 months as I would be unable to do them all at once due to the monthly data limit.
I have already started downloading again, but even some of the new tracks are instantly corrupt, and some wont even download as it says javascript is disabled! This is not the case, it is definitely enabled. To make it worse 250 of the original corrupt tracks cant be deleted and are just sat there wasting memory!!
Before I spend a fortune again calling Nokia, is it reasonable to think that I should be entitled to an extra 4 months on my download period? And has anybody else experienced similar problems?
Thanks = )
