Anyone experienced this?
I watched a video on you tube that a 5800 would still work even if dropped on water.

I just want some assurance that it would be okay?

As of now, when I took it out of the water (got submerged for around 3 seconds) it was still working. I mean you can still see it (the power was still on) so i turned it off, and removed the battery, sim, memory card and left it to dry.

Right now, I see some water inside the screen, any way to let it dry out? Or should it be a hairdryer? (As other people would suggest)

Furthermore, I would like to ask if the dry rice thing really works?

Anyone who experienced this, PLEASE REPLY :) I want to know if it would be the way it was, or if I should sell my phone after it works and buy myself a new one.

Advices please! Thank you!

Take the battery out, and place both of them in separate containers of DRY rice. Leave them there for 24-48 hours, and the rice should suck out all of the water. Do not turn on the phone for a few days. If you have screen damage, it may or may not be reversible, but the sim card and battery are really what you need to protect.

I have had this happen before, twice, once to my personal phone and once to my work phone, both nokias. My personal phone started working again after about 24hours, I just took it apart and left it to dry (it had just been submerged in a glass of water for a few seconds). The work one though would not turn back on after a week or so of air drying so I gave up (it had been through a full wash cycle in my pants pocket), then months later I found it again turned it on and it worked perfectly again!
