Nokia asha 311 or Samsung Galaxy Y?

From the reviews I read, most say that Samsung is better. But I found from a website that Nokia has higher speed, more camera features, and slightly longer battery life. Most reviews say that Samsung is better because it uses Android. (Might be a silly question but still) Why is Android better?

I'm a college student and I've never used a smartphone before. I'm not into games much but I do go online frequently. Which phone would you suggest I buy? Or are there other better phones that are in the same price range?
 
Nokia is very popular and best smart phones producing company of mobile industry. Nokia asha 311 is an awesome symbian OS phone it includes many advance applications and games. It has a wide screen and smooth, sensitive touch. I love to use this phone. Its original price in India is Rs 6,500 only.
