Nokia x5 unable to set up email?

i followed the settings wizard but everytime i press add mailbox and hotmail, after typing in my email and password, it does nothing. Is it the connection? Im already connected to my wifi. Is there a way to make sure email connection is always my wifi and not the cruddy gprs?
