I wouldnt. Even my young cats stay indoors.
Outside there is cars, cruel people, Feline aids, Leukemia, cat flu, fleas...
Specially if she is older she will appreciate the comforts and safety of the indoors. Her reactions are not as quick as they use to be
Play with her with a string or a stick or a ball and she will keep fit.
