Now that they repealed don't ask don't tell, how can I evade possible future drafts?

I was going to pretend to be homosexual if they decided to draft, but now that's out of the question.
I may be safe because, but what about my brother?
My brother's straight, but I'm sure he'd rather kiss a guy than go to military and possibly get killed.

Well, if your avatar's any indication, you should still be safe; nearly a century after the 19th Amendment, the military's still pretty sure that women can't handle the front lines and shouldn't be included in the draft.

There will never be another draft because it will take too much hard evidence to convince the American public to go to war if a large majority have to involuntary send their children to fight it.

It's a volunteer army right now, and not likely to EVER change.

Why?

Because rich folks can get poor folks to volunteer, on a promise to get to go to school.....'cept McCain wants to make sure you nevaaahhhhhh get out..... so you stay in for decades, or die there.

Thank the Republicans for this one.

Puh-lease. There are all kids of ways to get kicked out of or excluded from the military. My husband's buddy shot his hand off in basic training, one of my husband's classmates tried to go AWOL and his car broke down, you could get excluded for bad knees, shin splints. My FIL avoided the draft by becoming a pastor, as did lots of men at the time. So many ways to avoid military service!
