So I recently embarked on a muscle building routine.
However, I have one worry. I know that to gain muscle, you are required to eat at least 500 calories above your regular assigned calorie intake. My question is, what if I am unable to make it to the gym during the week for whatever reason? Won't the excess calories get stored as fat; leaving me with more calories to burn? If I know I will not be able to make it to the gym, should I re-adjust my eating and go back to my original calorie intake, or should I just keep eating more, and hope I will burn the excess calories the following week.
