Okay, I have been asking people for help, to help me think of a good story to write. But all I'm hearing is people saying that I'm not a writer since I need help! (There is such thing as writers block). So I'll ask this. What are you all scared of? Like I said in the previous questions, I like writing horror stories (I like gore, guts, and blood). So instead of asking for ideas, tell me what you all are scared of most. Example: Getting buried alive, getting burned alive, etc. Please help me and don't answer if you are only going to criticize me. And actually answer, don't tell me "sit down and think of something" or "write about your scariest dreams". I have tried everything!

I m afraid to be buried alive as i m sort of claustrophobic. Being burned alive is up there too. I d probably panic and start crying and hyperventilating. Snakes are even worse for me, i m absolutely terrified of them. Good luck in your writing. And i agree, writer s block is real and it sucks.

I'll tell you which story plot has given me the most nightmares over the years. It's from Alan Garner's "Weirdstone of Brisingamen" and the protagonists are being chased through caves. The only way out is an _incredibly_ narrow tunnel (think rabbit hole) and at one point there is a flooded sump.

No gore. No guts. No blood. Just the very real risk of getting stuck and drowning underground - or just getting stuck and dying there slowly. Brr.

It's a children's book, btw.

Seriously, you need to think about what scares _you_. You don't have to write about it. You just have to write about something which makes your protagonists feel that way.

There is a secret post office box number in a large midwestern city in the United States where you can send a stamped, self-addressed envelope and they will send you back your story ideas. All the best selling authors use it. The address is, P.O Box 72/
