Old computer game with crazy cows, kind of medieval?

I am trying to remember a computer i used to play, probably in early 2000's, i remember you had like a base camp you could go through a portal back to if you got in trouble, and you had to go out and battle all different things, i do remember there were these upright crazy cows you had to fight.

Any help would be great.
