On a Samsung Impression how do you turn MP3's to Ringtones?

I have a Samsung Impression and I am always downloading songs to it, but when i go to see if I can set it as my ringtone, it won't let me! Can anyone tell me how to change the mp3 to a ringtone?
Please help! Thanks!
